Our Story
Jiffy is a proud Omani startup that began as a university project at the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech). What started as a graduation project by a team of passionate students has evolved into a nationally recognized innovation, transforming the way people shop across Oman.
Our mission is to revolutionize the retail landscape by introducing cutting-edge smart checkout technology that eliminates long queues and creates seamless, frictionless shopping experiences. We are dedicated to empowering businesses with intelligent solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive growth for retailers.

Anwar Al Saadi
Founder & CEO
An Omani entrepreneur with a background in business and technology, Anwar has been one of the key driving forces behind Jiffy's innovation. Under her leadership, the team leveraged their multidisciplinary skills to develop a solution that addresses a real-world problem: long supermarket queues and inefficient checkout processes.
The founding team emerged from GUtech's academic environment, combining knowledge in business management and technology to create a research-oriented, innovative culture focused on solving retail challenges.

Co-Founder,Software & Hardware developer
An Omani developer with a strong background in software development, hardware systems, and emerging technologies, Mzyane has been one of the leading forces shaping Jiffy’s technical direction. With her combined expertise in programming, embedded systems, and intelligent automation, she played a crucial role in transforming Jiffy’s concept into a functional, innovative solution. Her multidisciplinary skills—ranging from backend development and system integration to IoT and hardware prototyping—enabled the team to build a reliable system that tackles real-world challenges such as long supermarket queues, manual errors, and inefficient checkout processes.
Emerging from GUtech’s research-driven environment, Mzyane and the founding team blended their knowledge of technology and problem-solving to create a forward-thinking culture focused on delivering practical, impactful solutions for the retail sector.
